[Ongoing] “Deployable spectrum sharing technology and in-band coexistence for communications”, 2024 – (PI)

Figure: Two example cases of proposed spectrum sharing aided sustainable communications: in-band coexistence in DTT broadcast bands, distributed control aided spectrum shared communication

The following research translation and engineering aspects are being explored:

  1. To develop proofs of concepts and prototypes of in-band coexistence in L band and C band in presence of legacy communications
  2. To experimentally motivate and develop cooperative spectrum sharing based communications
  3. To develop and demonstrate interference cancellation ability in in-band coexistence as well as spectrum shared communication environments
  4. To develop distributed control cooperative communication system prototype over a common band
  5. To develop coexistent communication solutions for different heterogeneous technologies in terrestrial as well as non-terrestrial applications
  6. To develop learning-aided cooperative spectrum sharing as well as adversarial interference mitigation methods
